Hi, I’m Krystal Cadelli, and I’m running for Fort Smith City Director, At-Large Position 5, because Fort Smith needs stronger priorities and long-term planning.
After nearly three years attending Board meetings, I’ve watched problems grow.
I’ve seen families struggle with rising water bills while infrastructure needs became more urgent. I’ve seen police and firefighters fight for resources while the City spent money on projects that were not priorities. I’ve seen residents ask questions and struggle to get answers.
The people are why I am running: families, seniors, business owners, first responders, and taxpayers who expect city government to plan ahead, spend responsibly, and focus on the basics.
I decided to enter this race when I realized that, with the current makeup of the Board, nothing was going to change. Fort Smith cannot continue operating from crisis to crisis. We cannot wait until something fails before we decide to fix it.
We need long-term planning for our water system, consent decree, public safety, economic development, and affordability. We need a leaner, accountable budget and leadership willing to ask hard questions.
We need to stop reacting, start planning, and put Fort Smith first. I would be honored to earn your vote.
Prioritize the water transmission line, consent decree, and critical infrastructure before nonessential spending.
Ensure our police and fire departments have the staffing, equipment, pay, and resources they need to protect our community and respond when residents need them most.
Use zero-based budgeting to eliminate waste, improve transparency, control costs, and make sure taxpayer dollars are focused on Fort Smith’s most important priorities.
